Uncasville, Connecticut, May 14, 2026 – Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority (“Mohegan”) announced today the closing of an agreement with the Tilman J. Fertitta family for the purchase of the Connecticut Sun franchise, as first announced on March 30, after having secured the required regulatory and WNBA league approvals. In connection with the transaction, Mohegan will receive aggregate proceeds of $300 million, with $150 million received at closing and the remaining proceeds due on or before December 31, 2026. Mohegan Sun Arena remains home to the Connecticut Sun for the 2026 WNBA season.
