Steve Netopski to Oversee Property-wide Information Technology (IT) Operations and Strategic Technology Initiatives
UNCASVILLE, CT (November 13, 2025) – IT veteran Steve Netopski has been
promoted to Director of IT for Mohegan. The appointment follows the recent election of Chuck Harris to the Mohegan Tribal Council, who previously held the Director of IT position. Netopski, who began his career at Mohegan Sun in 2000 as a Computer Operator, has steadily advanced through a variety of IT roles, most recently serving as Manager of Technical Services and Converged Communications. In his new role, Netopski overseeing day-to-day IT operations, and manage property-wide IT requests.

Netopski, who will serve as part of the IT leadership team under VP of Global IT, John Ware, will also play a key role in shaping the department’s strategic direction, budgeting, and customer relationship management across all operating departments. With 26 years of IT experience and a proven track record of implementing solutions that drive value, he brings both technical expertise and strategic vision to this expanded role. Known for his ability to adapt to evolving business needs and his commitment to excellence, Netopski prioritizes a team approach and strong client partnerships that support effective IT service delivery. The promotion to Director of IT reunites the broader IT team fully under Corporate IT Services & Support structure, strengthening collaboration and efficiency while creating opportunities for enhanced innovation and streamlined service across Mohegan’s enterprise.
Netopski is a Veteran of the United States Navy and currently resides in Norwich with his wife, five children and their family dog, Appa.
