To commemorate ilani’s reopening, leaders of ilani and the Cowlitz Tribe will gather to extend a warm welcome to the community. The reopening ceremony will include a special blessing from the spiritual leader of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe and a ribbon-cutting will follow. Afterwards, guests will have their temperatures checked via thermal temperature scanners as they are invited to enter ilani and be greeted by the welcoming sounds of the Cowlitz Drum Group.
Upon entering ilani, various changes will be apparent in the property’s appearance and in new practices adopted to reduce the risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19. New protocols adhere to guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control and Washington health authorities. All staff members will be wearing masks and visitors are also required to do so.
