Connecticut Sun
Mohegan Sun’s WNBA Team
In January 2003, the Mohegan Tribe became the first Native American Tribe to own a professional sports team with its purchase of the Orlando Miracle, a Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) franchise founded in 1988. Renamed Connecticut Sun, the team was relocated to Uncasville, Connecticut, where they play home games inside the Mohegan Sun Arena. With the Sun relocating after the 2026 season, you won’t want to miss your final chance to see them in action and cheer them on as they take the court at Mohegan Sun Arena one last time.
At the close of the 2026 season, the Connecticut Sun franchise will be purchased by the Tilman J. Fertitta family and relocated to Houston, Texas.
