After 20 years of service to the Mohegan Tribe including serving as President and General Manager of the brand’s flagship property, Mohegan Sun Connecticut, and most recently as Chief Operating Officer of MGE, Ray brings a wealth of legal and business knowledge with him to the CEO role.
In this role, Ray will be responsible for the overall success of MGE where, in alignment with the Board, he will create, communicate, and execute a global vision, strategy, and direction for the company, drive the company’s culture, values, and behavior, build a high performing executive team, and allocate capital to the company’s priorities. He will also drive the operational results of all MGE owned and affiliated properties - through overseeing the effective development, implementation and measurement of all strategic business plans, including capital and operating budgets, marketing, technology, people, operations, development, and legal.
As CEO, Ray will ensure that each of MGE’s properties around the world meet or exceed operational, employee engagement, guest service, cultural, strategic and fiscal plans, while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and the tenants of Spirit of Aquai.
Anderson comes to MGE from Scientific Games Corporation in Las Vegas, where she served most recently as Senior Vice President – Treasury, Capital Markets and Associate General Counsel. Prior to joining Scientific Games, she worked as a Project Manager for Williams and Associates, PC; an Associate, Business Transactions and Gaming Groups at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie LLP; an Associate, Capital Markets Department at Latham & Watkins LLP; and a Vice President, Investment Banking Division (Leveraged Finance) at Lehman Brothers. Anderson began her career as an Associate with Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP.
Anderson has a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Syracuse University and a Juris Doctorate from Boston College Law School. She has also studied Central and Eastern European Culture and Politics at Univerzity Karlovy in Prague.
Smith comes to MGE from The Leading Hotels of the World in New York, where she was the Senior Vice President, Organization Development and HR for 10 years. Prior, Smith served as President at The Smith Factor, LLC where she worked with organizations in Austria, Australia, England and China to build customer services cultures. Prior, Smith was the Executive Vice President, Human Resources, at Wyndham International and held various leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company where during her tenure she was assigned to many business start-ups. Smith has a Master’s Degree in Career & Human Resource Development from Rochester Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from Rollins College.
Galinsky has been a large contributor to MTGA for over 15 years. His main focus began at the flagship property in Connecticut, but his work has expanded to include all current and future MGE owned and managed properties. Additionally, he is responsible for overseeing marketing strategy and execution for all consumer and casino communications for Mohegan Sun, Mohegan Sun Pocono, Resorts Casino Hotel, Paragon Casino Resort and ilani.
Cantone previously served as Vice President of Sports & Entertainment of the flagship property in Connecticut since 2007. Prior to Mohegan Sun, Cantone held senior management marketing positions at Foxwoods Resort and Casino, Sands Hotel & Casino, Hershey Entertainment & Resort Co., Hollywood Casino and various Trump properties. He brings over 25 years of experience to his new role and is a graduate of Penn State University.
Roberts joins MGE from his most recent position as Executive Business Consultant for RSD Consulting, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations enter the U.S. sports digital media, regulated digital gaming, and eSports markets. Prior, Roberts was the CEO of FaceOff, a peer-to-peer social/skill sports gaming platform in the U.S.
Prior to becoming Chief Operating Officer, Madigan served as the General Manager of the Paragon Casino and Resort. In that role, he led a very successful turnaround of the business, including tripling EBITDA, increasing team member satisfaction scores, remodeling the hotel, opening the first sportsbook in Louisiana, and establishing an extensive management training program for tribal and non-tribal team members.
Madigan also served as the Vice President of Strategic Execution and Business Development for Seneca Gaming, where he led vital initiatives involving operations and expansion. Earlier in his career, he spent two years as the Assistant General Manager for Mountaineer Casino, and a year as the President and General Manager for Casino Miami, a Silver Entertainment property.
