[November 27, 2023 – Incheon, South Korea] Mohegan INSPIRE Entertainment Resort, which celebrates its soft opening on November 30th, today announced its December lineup and a full slate of entertainment content plans for the upcoming holiday season at INSPIRE Arena.

As Korea’s first indoor multi-purpose performance hall with a total capacity of 15,000 people, the INSPIRE Arena will host various events including K-pop concerts, music awards, and year-end music festivals starting in December. INSPIRE Arena will attract not only domestic music fans but also many international K-pop enthusiasts to Yeongjong Island, Incheon.

The first event at INSPIRE Arena will be the ‘Mellon Music Awards (MMA 2023)’, Korea’s leading music awards and festival event, on December 2nd. ‘Taemin’s solo concert: Metamorph’ will take place on the 16th and 17th. It will be also followed by the ‘SBS Gayo Daejeon,’ one of the terrestrial broadcasters’ year-end special music programs, on the 25th, and culminating with the ‘2023 TVXQ Concert [20&2]’ on the 30th and 31st, promising an electrifying end to the year.

The MMA 2023, which brings together top K-pop artists, and SHINee’s Taemin’s solo concert—his first offline performance in nearly five years—sold out immediately after ticket sales opened. This demonstrated the immense interest of both domestic and international fans in K-pop events hosted at Korea’s first performance-focused arena. Additionally, the upcoming TVXQ concert, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, is expected to attract a large number of fans from overseas.

Located in Yeongjong Island, Incheon, the INSPIRE Arena boasts a world-class sound system with the latest Panther System from Meyer Sound. This cutting-edge technology enables the venue to host international pop artists and top-tier K-pop performers. Equipped with an easily configurable stage and seating structure, state-of-the-art sound systems, and a loading dock, the venue is capable of hosting a wide variety of events, including music concerts, award ceremonies, e-sports competitions, sporting events, and large-scale exhibition fairs and shows.

INSPIRE Arena also offers comfortable seating and an audience-friendly structure that ensures optimal stage visibility from every seat to enhance the overall experience. Located under the one roof of INSPIRE, guests will be able to enjoy the resort’s indoor amenities before attending the show, regardless of the season or weather conditions.

In addition to the arena performances, INSPIRE has a full slate of entertainment planned for the Christmas and year-end season.

Beginning December 15th, each weekend (Friday through Sunday) will feature a candy-giving parade led by a hip Santa Claus and a group of jolly elves. In addition, there will be a photo event where guests can capture memorable moments with family, friends, and loved ones as they stroll through INSPIRE’s lavishly decorated main social spaces with Christmas and Tree of Life themes. There will also be a special mini concert held during the holiday season. INSPIRE team members also plan to invite children from a local children’s shelter in Incheon for a holiday experience that includes receiving gifts, a special performance, enjoying lunch and more.

Furthermore, INSPIRE’s 150-meter-long state-of-the-art digital entertainment street, Aurora, will dazzle visitors with immersive digital media art on giant LED screens covering the ceiling and pillars. On December 31st, a New Year’s Eve countdown event will be held at Aurora and ‘Aurora Bar’ so that visitors can enjoy spectacular digital shows and DJ performances while reminiscing on the last day of the year.

“INSPIRE makes its debut on November 30 with a soft opening,” said Michael Jensen, Chief Marketing Officer, Mohegan INSPIRE. “We look forward to welcoming both domestic and international visitors with a diverse range of entertainment content, including Korea’s first performance-focused Arena, three hotel towers with distinct concepts, a glass-domed indoor water pool, MICE facilities, and INSPIRE signature restaurants. The Arena will host Korea’s leading music events, concerts, and Christmas and New Year celebrating events in December to welcome both domestic and international guests.”
